Prep

Prep year is a special year at Boondall State School. Not only is it the first year of schooling but it is a foundation year whereby our students build the skills, knowledge and relationships to help them succeed in their primary education.   
 
Information about how to enrol your child in Queensland state school is available from prep year enrolling your child in Prep in Queensland can be found at the Queensland Government website.
 
Children must be aged 5 by 30 June in the year they start Prep. To determine if your child is eligible to enrol in Prep, please check the Education Queensland's Prep ready reckoner.  An original copy of your child’s birth certificate must be sighted before enrolment can be confirmed at our school.
 
If your child was born in a country without a birth registration system, a passport or visa documents should be provided to show your child’s date of birth.
